Deputies say a New Jersey man was killed Wednesday night in Martin County.
On Friday deputies released the names of those in the shooting, but released little more information. Killed was 35 year old Walik Walker from Newark, New Jersey while 27-year-old Davirus Williams of Grimesland was wounded.
The two were found shot outside the Wilco Hess in Oak City. Sheriff Dan Gibbs says the actual shooting happened somewhere else, but so far authorities have not released that location.
No arrests have been made in the shootings.
New Jersey records show Walker had several drug arrests in Essex County. He also served prison time for robbery and weapons convictions, getting out in 2007.
Two people were found shot outside of the Wilco Hess in the Martin County town of Oak City Wednesday night, and one victim has died.
The Martin County Sheriff's Office says two men were found suffering from gunshot wounds outside the store on Highway 125 around 8 p.m.
Sheriff Dan Gibbs says the actual shootings did not happen at the convenience store, but he won't yet release where it happened.
One victim died at the scene while the other was transported to Martin General Hospital. He was then stabilized and flown by EastCare to Vidant Medical Center in Greenville.
Gibbs says both men were shot, but he is not releasing the names of those involved.
The search continues for those responsible.

Authorities tell us the shooting happened at the Wilco-Hess on Highway 125 in Oak City.
