FIRST ON WITN: Jacksonville Police Investigate Murder-Suicide; Victims Identified

Police have identified a married couple found dead in their Jacksonville home, victims of a murder-suicide.

The two bodies were found around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday after a parent of the woman called police asking to check on their welfare.

Police say their investigation shows that Jessica Hall was shot twice, while Jeremy Hall died from a single gunshot wound that was apparently self-inflicted. Both were 22 years old and originally from Amanda, Ohio.

Police say the couple had relocated to Jacksonville where the husband was a Marine at Camp Lejeune.

A Facebook profile says the two were married in February and that Hall was a tank crewman in the Marine Corps.

Police are investigating the discovery of two bodies in a Jacksonville home.

Multiple police units are at the home on Hargett Street near Onslow Drive.

Captain Billy Houston says their preliminary investigation shows it was a murder-suicide.

Houston says they got a call today from a parent asking police check on the welfare their daughter. Officers arrived around 12:30 p.m. and got no response from anyone inside. They broke in and discovered the two bodies.

Houston says they are working with the Naval Criminal Investigative Service, which is an indication that one or both of the victims are Marines.

Neighbors tell us a young Marine and his wife live at the home.

Names of those involved have not yet been released, nor any information on how they were killed.
