Police say an Ayden man is accused of sex crimes involving two young sisters.
Mark Lampson, 55, was arrested around 9:45 p.m. Monday by Ayden police, according to officials at the Pitt County Detention Center.
Lampson faces two counts of taking indecent liberties with a child. Police say their investigation began back in October, with one of the offenses happening at the man's house and the other in his vehicle.
Police say the victims were six and eight years old at the time and Lampson reportedly was a friend of the family.
Lampson's bond was set at $200,000.
