No Weapon Discovered In Murder Case

Lawmen are continuing to build their case against a Hertford County teen accused of murdering a 30-year-old man.

Frederick Williams, 17, of Ahoskie, is behind bars for the murder of Jason Harrell, of Cofield. An autopsy shows Harrell was shot several times, according to the Roanoke-Chowan News Herald.

The paper says divers searching for the murder weapon in Ahoskie Creek have come up empty so far.

Hertford County Sheriff Juan Vaughn told the paper they believe Williams acted alone.
