Police Release Sketch Of Attempted Robber Outside Pier 1


Police have released a composite sketch of a man they say tried to rob a shopper outside the Pier 1 Imports in Greenville last week.

It happened around 6:35 p.m. last Wednesday in the parking lot of the Greenville Mall.

The man threatened the woman with a knife and demanded money, but police say nothing was taken and the victim wasn't hurt.

They say the would-be robber was a black man with medium complexion, and wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt.

Greenville Police responded to an attempted armed robbery in the parking lot of Pier 1 at the Greenville Mall around 6:35 Wednesday night.

Police say an individual with a knife attempted to rob an individual, but it does not appear that he got away with anything.

The suspect took off across Greenville Boulevard and headed in the direction of the Checkers restaurant.

Police describe the suspect as a black male, slender build wearing a gray hoodie and a red and gray shirt.
