The Amber Alert issued for a 4-year-old Durham boy was cancelled this morning, five hours after it was posted.
Around 2:30 Thursday morning, police issue the alert for Ari Aguilar-Castillo.
The mother told WTVD that the boy was asleep in a closet the whole time, possibly under some clothes. She says both Durham police and the family checked the closet, but they did not see him.
Authorities have issued an Amber Alert for a four year old from Durham taken by an unknown man.
The missing child is four-year-old Ari Aguilar-Castillo. Durham police say the child was taken by a man they say is 45 years old. The name of the man is not listed in the Amber Alert, though authorities say he is white, with black hair, brown eyes, 5'8" tall and weighing 180 pounds.
The missing boy and the man were last seen on foot in the area of 703 Liberty Street in Durham. The Amber Alert was issued at 2:30 a.m.
