Police Investigate Two Armed Robberies In Rocky Mount

Rocky Mount police are investigating two robberies involving weapons.

The first happened Friday just after 2:00 p.m. on South Church Street.

The victim is 40-year-old Yong Bin Lin.

Police say Lin was approached by two men he didn't know as he was getting into his trailer at the Stockyard. The suspects showed Lin weapons, demanded money, then took off in a two-door green Pontiac.

Another robbery happened Saturday just after 10 p.m. on Winston Walk.

Three young men were leaving a relative's home when they told police two men they didn't know pulled handguns and forced them down on the ground.

The victims say the robbers took their stuff, then forced them to get in their car and drive off.
