Greenville Unveils New Look Police Car Look

One police department here in Eastern Carolina will have a new fleet of cars on the streets--a drastic change from the old.

Greenville police unveiled Wednesday one of six new Crown Victoria's that will replace some of their older cars.

The cruisers also have the department's new logos. The bolder and better recognizable cruisers will cost taxpayers cost $30,000 a piece, but it's part of the city's vehicle replacement plan.

"The current package has been in place for 21 years and this was a chance to update our look a little bit. We saved a considerable amount of money with this package over the previous package," said Lt. R.A. Williams.

The department says three more cars will be arrive in the spring. Two more cars will also add to the fleet, thanks to grant funds.
