Arrests Made In Mall "Smash & Grab" Case

There's been an arrest in a smash and grab that happened two weeks ago at the Greenville Mall.

Police have charged Timonthy Dickens, Alzavion Randolph, and Juwahn Anderson, all of Tarboro, with felony larceny and injury to personal property. They are still looking for Lenquonis McKenzie, 16, of Tarboro.

On October 15th police say three to four men broke the glass display cabinet at the Gems and Gold, a kiosk in the mall. A police reports says $35,000 worth of gold necklaces with gold and diamond charms were taken.

Police say the four men may also be responsible for similar crimes in Goldsboro, Rocky Mount and Wilson.

I'm not trying to stir up anything but until you have a son that has done this, don't judge them. Drugs were not a part of this. All four guys will spend their time.

I'd be the last to make excuses for these criminals, but once they get caught up in the drug trade and go to jail, what can they do when they are released? They have no skills (although it cost more to jail them that teach them a skill) and they have a record which makes it hard to get a job. I'll bet Gov Easley and Bernie Maddox won't do any time.

I'm a business owner in a similar business and we've been broken into twice and both times they caught the theives. In both cases, the theives were back on the street within a few months and never paid back a penny. Jail is nothing more than a vacation to these thugs where they can get free healthcare, good food, and plot their next crime spree when they get out.
