POLICE: Gunman Threatens To Shoot Woman During Home Invasion

A home invasion Sunday night has Rocky Mount police looking for a gunman who threatened to shoot the woman victim.

Police say the gunman got into the woman's home at 821 South Tillery Street through an unlocked door.

The gunman kept asking where her money was, and if she did not tell him he would shoot her. After searching unsuccessfully in the bedroom, he returned to the living room and began dragging the woman toward the bedroom. At that point the victim told the gunman were the jewelry was located.

Taken was a silver diamond bracelet, a gold bracelet with charms, a silver necklace with three diamond pendants, 20 gold and silver rings and assorted credit cards.

Police say the victim refused medical treatment, even though she was cut on her wrist.

The gunman was wearing all black, with black leather gloves, and a black scarf that covered most of his face.
