A couple of big court cases in one county are being delayed because the defense attorney in both suffered an injury.
68 year old Roy Lawrence Rascoe of Bertie County is charged with killing his wife and two small children in 1972.
He was due in court Thursday, but his lawyer is recovering after falling down a flight of stairs.
The same lawyer represents Stephen Kyprianades, the Lewiston man charged with misdemeanor animal cruelty after authorities found 46 dogs and three cats in his home.
His case from Thursday was also delayed.
