Police Say They've Uncovered $600,000 Fraud Scheme

Police say they've arrested a woman who is accused of a fraud scheme that totals in the hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Greenville police, assisted by Windsor police, arrested Regina Peele of Windsor for obtaining property by false pretense and felony worthless checks.

Peele, according to police, owns CreditEd Solutions, Incorporated. She's arrested on obtaining property by false pretense in excess of $100,000.00, 4 counts, for a fraud scheme involving $600,000.00; and felony worthless check, 3 counts, referring to funds totaling $240,000.00.

Police say the scheme solicited investors for church construction, with promises of high rates of return. They claim Peele then used the money for other uses and failed to fully repay the investors.

Police say in many cases, money from one source was used to make partial payments to other investors.

People who have invested with CreditEd Solutions are asked to contact Greenville police at 252-329-4359.

The 45-year-old Peele is in jail under a $50,000 secured bond.

I have known this lady since high school, her sister and I was very good friends. This lady was a nice person then, and I believe she is still a kind hearted person. Sometimes when you try to do something nice for someone, it don't always turn out the way you wanted it to, and you keep trying to find a way. I believe she really did want to help, but things went wrong. I don't believe she meant to hurt or do anybody wrong or harm. I pray that other people will come to know that she is not the person they say she is. People need to learn how to pray for people and not judge them, because things happen so quick every day, next month it could be you, and you did'nt mean any harm.

i have known this person for many years and let me say that she is a person that pretends to be this sweet and gentle person but in reality she has been a poster child for evil and selfish doing. this does not supprise me because of her greed for money and power and control. yes she has done these things and when is all comes out you will find out that it is much much more.

I am surprise of this. I see all the comments and looking at her picture on the news for something bad and not good. First of all, I pray for all that lost money. Investing this day and time is a no no. Second I pray for her HOPING she didn't commit a crime. I am not judging her. The thing with me is people work hard for their money and for someone to take it and use it in the wrong way and know it bothers me. If she did do it, then she will pay one way or another. Again the story is sad because she loses and so do the one that lost the money. Be Blessed Windsor.

After reading many of these comments, I am felt the urgue to post a one myself. I am convinced that there are people who gets a sense of happiness in the misfortune of others. I have read the accusations leveled against Ms Peele. If this be so, why are we so quick to rejoice. Please take a moment to think about some of the things you've done that was wrong. There are many who are posting so much negative stuff that if you would just take a moment to look back over your own life, you would then come to the realization that we do make mistakes and come short. Ms. Peele is a wonderful lady inspit of this situation. She has a heart for people and my heart goes out to her. Please people, let's stop rejoicing when things like this happens. Let's learn how to pray and thank God that we are not in that situation. For if the truth was to be told, IT COULD HAVE BEEN YOU! Some of these negative comments up here is the result of JEALOUSY. And belive me when I tell you, YOU DO REAP WHAT YOU SOW!!!

Truth is, she will be judged. Not by God, but by a jury of her peers. At the very least it will go through the judicial system. Till then I reserve my opinion. What caught my eye on this story is all the religious and political overtones being laid out by so many. Neither of which has anything to do with the circumstance of this case. Prejudice comes in many forms, ignorance not being the least.

To Concerned. Something tells me you would hardly be an authority on that. Try going to church sometime. Im sure you would judge them too and find fault. Christ died on the cross for all those horrible Christian Republicans. He also died for all you judgemental liberal democrates. Not in 50 years huh? You need to get out more often. Maybe it takes one to know one?! God Bless.

To Data Man: First, I am a Christian, then a Republican. I did vote for Bush both terms, and not ashamed of it. And I am not a THIEF. I do not know if she did it or not. She will have her day in court. But to lable me a thief because of my political association is "profiling" as far as I am concerned. And as I have read the other comments, yes, her and her family needs alot of prayer, but as for me and my family, we work hard to have what we have and we do not steal. No one gives us a hand out.
