Arrest Made In Beaufort County Murder

Nearly four months after a Beaufort County man was reported missing there has been an arrest in his murder.

John Bryant of Chocowinity is charged with an open count of murder after his arrest Thursday.

Bryant is accused of killing Glen McCullough, Jr., also of Chocowinity. McCullough's body was found four days after he was reported missing on Little Egypt Road in Blounts Creek.

Earlier in the investigation, deputies listed Bryant as a person of interest and said they were looking for his 1991 Honda Accord.

The 35-year-old Bryant is in jail without bond.

My thoughts and prayers are for Glen family and friends.I been knowing Lynelle all my life and I would of never thought in a million years that he would commit such a crime,to a friend of his..I'm not saying his guilty because everyone is innocent to proven guilty but I just hope this is a big understanding.Lynelle haven't been right, since he had that incident. Not saying that gave him the right do what he did,if he did it but at least I know in my heart he want in his right mind,it all of this is true..Theses guys need to leave this street life alone and become positive role models for our kids...GOD BLESS THE FAMILY!!!

Not to say I am defending John Bryant, but a person is innocent until proven guilty! If he did do this horrific crime I hope he gets the time. To Castina and the rest of the family, I am sorry for your loss and I know it is still a long road to travel until you can began to heal. But stay in prayer and hold on to the good times and memories you had with your loved one. God be with you and your family.

I remember Lonnell when he was growing up.He stayed next door for years. I would have never guessed he would have turned out the person he has. I know his mother and late father. I can a sure you he was not raised this way. My heart go out to his mother.
