Armed Robber Makes Getaway On Victim's Bicycle

A man had his bicycle and $18 in cash stolen at gun point Wednesday night in Rocky Mount.

Deser Parker says he was in the 100 block of Ridge Street around midnight when two men approached him, one armed with a black handgun.

Parker told police the two ordered him on the ground and took the money out of his pants pocket and his Huffy bicycle. One of the robbers left riding the victim's bike, while the other walked toward Columbia Avenue.

The robbers are described as black men, between 18 and 22 years old. One was 6 foot in height, 200 pounds, short hair, wearing a white t-shirt, and white shoes. The other was 5'8" tall, 150 pounds, wearing a plaid shirt, dark blue jeans and white shoes.
