Police have made an arrest in the rape of a woman that happened at a cemetery, the same cemetery where two bodies were found two days later.
Mount Olive police have charged Dannie Bell of Mount Olive with first degree kidnapping and second degree rape. Police say Bell is accused of raping an 18-year-old woman at Carver Memorial Park late Friday night.
Bell is in jail on a $50,000 bond.
Police say the rape is not connected to Sunday's discovery of two dead bodies. In that case, a cemetery visitor discovered the bodies of 16-year-old Martavia Royster and 29-year-old Tiqko King. Police say the two were in a relationship, and do not believe anyone else was involved in their deaths.
