Testimony Begins In Kinston Murder Trial

Testimony began Tuesday in a murder trial in Kinston.

Meco Wiggins is accused of shooting and killing 20 year-old James Walls in Lenoir County back in 2006. Wiggins is also accused of two-other shootings in the area.

Relatives in the courtroom tell WITN that Wiggins was never at the scene and didn't have a gun. His attorney claims the evidence against him does not hold up.

The trial is expected to last through next week.
