Teen Charged After Spending Hours Driving With Dead Man

A North Carolina teen has been charged with obstruction of justice after authorities said he spent hours driving around with an acquaintance after the man had died.

The Star-News of Wilmington reported Tuesday that 19-year-old Eric Len Henry Jr., of Winnabow, delayed for hours notifying authorities of 23-year-old John Ferguson's death.

Beth Boling with the Brunswick County Sheriff's Office says authorities think Ferguson died of a drug overdose, but they are waiting for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

Henry was released from jail on a $500 bond. It was unclear if he had an attorney.
