There's been an arrest in the armed robbery of a Morehead City pharmacy.
Donald Reid, Jr. of Morehead City is charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and second degree kidnapping.
Police say Reid came into the Medical Park Pharmacy West Tuesday morning and demanded money and drugs. Police say he made off with $250 in cash along with over $4500 in Oxycotin and Dalaudid.
Police say early on Reid was developed as a suspect thanks to one of the witnesses. Tuesday night, police say, Reid was picked out of a photo lineup by witnesses and employees.
Police say none of the drugs or money have yet been recovered.
Police are looking for an armed robber who held up a pharmacy Monday morning.
Morehead City police say the Medical Park Pharmacy West was robbed around 9:00 a.m. The pharmacy is next to the Wal-Mart on Highway 24.
The man came in with a semi-automatic handgun and demanded money and drugs. There were several customers in the store, along with 3-4 employees. The gunman ordered everyone to lay down on the floor and not to follow them out or he would come back in and shoot them.
No one was injured in the robbery and the gunman made his getaway in a black two-door car.
The robber is described as a white man in his mid to late 20's, with a medium build. The man was last wearing tan work pants, white shirt and a blue bandanna on his head. He also has a tan tobahhan on top of his head and was wearing sunglasses.
