An argument over the price for a car that wasn't even for sale apparently led to a shooting on Labor Day.
It happened in Halifax County in Hollister.
Deputies have charged Steven Williams with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury.
Deputies say the victim and several other men got into the argument over Williams' car. They says when the argument got heated, Williams got his shotgun. The suspect then allegedly told the victim that he was going to blow his head off.
Deputies say as he was driving away, the 21-year-old Williams stuck the shotgun out of the window and fired. The victim was hit on the face and arm with birdshot.
Williams turned himself in to deputies and had his bond set at $20,000. The victim was treated at Halifax Regional Medical Center and released.
