To D: It is common knowlege the Sheriff of Beaufort County is not fond of the Pitt County Sheriff. Whether it is jealousy over department size, amount of resources, or equipment envy if you will, I don't think they have ever been that close. One is a nice guy. The other situated to the east is a legend in his own mind.

Why would the Beaufort County Sherrif's office be investigating a couple that live on a rural road in eastern Pitt County?

4 bags? Sounds like a big deal in the release from authorities...almost like something off Miami Vice. Probably really caught them with four baggies or bag-lets, otherwise the release would have been more discriptive about size. I can't believe this country is still wasting resources on drug enforcement. De-criminalize it like we did with alcohol and allow the court system and some of these smaller law enforcement agencies to spend resources on other crimes. You are never going to be successful at telling adults what they can put in their bodies. It didn't work with alcohol, nor is it working with marijuana and cocaine.
