To "A Female" & a fellow Sheepdog: Good for you to take steps to defend yourself. A word to the wise; those weapons are only going to be effective if you practice, practice, practice. You have to be completly familiar with them because you are only going to be about half as good (due to adrenelin) if awakened from a deep sleep and have to use them. Also you must be 100% sure you will be able to take another life. That will not come easily, but you must reconcile that before you're faced with a situation where you'll have to choose. I have faced that moment and my response was what I hoped it would be, but you're never really sure until it is staring you in the face.

I have my CCW permit. I carry a weapon. I sleep beside several weapons. I have a large protective dog. I am purchasing a home alarm system. Do you think I'll be safe?
