Two Arrested In Rape, Kidnapping, Robbery Case

Two men are under arrest for kidnapping, robbery and sex crimes that police say took place at a hotel in Washington.

Dwayne Mcmurren, Jr. was arrested at his home Monday night. He's charged with felony burglary, robbery with a dangerous weapon, felony kidnapping and felony sexual assault. Mcmurren is in jail on a $222,000 secured bond.

Arrested early Tuesday morning was Gregory Gardner, Jr. The Brown Street man is charged with felony rape, felony burglary, felony kidnapping, and robbery with a dangerous weapon. His bond is set at $210,000 secured.

Police say the arrests are a result of crimes that happened at a local hotel room, but won't release any more information. They do say additional charges are pending.

I learned that a person is innocent until proven guilty. People in North Carolina really need to get a life they are always in somebody elses business. Nobody knows what happened but the people involved and GOD. Just because somebody makes a charge does not mean it is true. This I have learned from the short time I have been there. Nobody should make snap judgements, remember it could be you. There has been so many cases where the victims lied and a innocent went to jail only to be released years later. Let the legal system do their job because we were not there. Even though the legal system cn be as bad as public opinion.

This pity party for the perps and their families is scandalous! They raised subhuman creatures and then turned them out to prey on innocents! Don't ask for nor expect to receive and sympathy! My concern is for the VICTIMS! They will have to bear the horror of their assults FOREVER, while the scum will get off with 5-10, If we're lucky! And FYI, they BOTH confessed! Innocent, I KNOW NOT!

These 2 made the decision to attack 2 innocent people and try to ruin their lives!! I hope both of them rot in jail even if it does cost me $30,000 a yr for both of them to stay in jail. It isn't a matter of being in the wrong place at the wrong time, it is a matter of being stupid and getting caught!!!!!! I hope they both rot and are given back the pain that they dealt out to the 2 innocent people that they attacked!!!!!!!!

The evidence will tell and sometimes we think we know a person but we really don't. Hopefully the right ppl will be charged. God bless this woman and I pray for all involved.

Look we all know people be in the wrong place at the wrong time and from the looks of all this Greg was just that. For people to say he need the death sentance needs to think what if this was a love one of yours. Everyone is entitled to there own opinion and mine is if the police or person dont have hard evidence leave greg alone. We all know that greg is a very good guy and wants the best for him and others. Although Mr. Gardener is locked away he still have friends and family that will stand strong for what they belive is true. As I conclude my comment I would like to say to the Gardener family stay strong and may God get you and your son through this storm, where as for others thats thinking negative you have your right to speak freely but please keep in mind if this was a love one of yours on either said side you wouldn't want anyone smashing your family name in the dirt........ So God bless the Gardeners and the victims family to....ONE LOVE!!!!!!!
