Crime will be the topic of a special meeting scheduled in Greenville later this month.

The Greenville City Council agreed Thursday night to host a meeting on Monday, August 24Th, to talk about crime.

City Councilman Calvin Mercer says in a newsletter, August 24Th will give an opportunity to hear citizens, debate the issues, and, hopefully, take actions.

This sounds like the time for citizens who are concerned to get out and be heard. Of course, I expect like always, they will continue to raise sand everywhere but in a forum like this. If you don't go to things like this, then keep your mouth shut and deal with the sky rocketing crime in Greenville. I don't care what the doctored "stats" say, any fool can see criime is not going down in Greenville.
