Morehead City Convenience Store Robbery Arrest

The suspect allegedly involved in a convenience store robbery over the weekend has been arrested by Morehead City Police.

Authorities say they took 23 year old James Jenkins into custody on Saturday, that's after they were dispatched to a fight at Willis Mobile Home Park. When officers showed up they noticed Jenkins was wearing the same clothing as the suspect involved in the robbery. That robbery happened Friday night at the Handy House Convenience Store on Arendell Street. Officials say Jenkins barged in, jumped over the counter, beat up the female store clerk and took off with one of the cash registers.

He's charged with:
Engaging in Affray - Misdemeanor
Robbery with a dangerous weapon - Felony
Assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury - Felony
Injury to personal property - Misdemeanor

I am actually the one who he assaulted during the robbery. I just found this post on it. after being brutalized with brass knuckles i was fired from my job of three years. That little bastard ruined everything for me. He gave me a concussion , knocked my jaw out of place, i have had to have dental work and treatment for ptsd, he hurt my back and whats worse is im only 98 pounds and he couldnt do me the justice of just asking for the money.. if he had i would have given him alot more than he left with. Im lucky i have older brothers who used to kick me around or maybe i wouldnt have gone home that night to my daughter. They still havent sentenced him either.

What an idiot! Thats Robbery 101 ...after committing a robbery to at the very least change clothes but the smart criminal gets rid of the clothes by burning them or otherwise getting rid of them.
