Arrest In Church Burglaries

A second person has been arrested in a string of church burglaries.

The Wayne County Sheriffs Office arrested Jason Phelps.

Investigators say Phelps was involved with stealing air conditioners from five churches in the southern part of the county to steal parts at salvage yards.

In all more than $30,000 in property was reported damaged or stolen during the burglaries.

Phelps is under a 60,000 dollar secured bond.

I am SADDEN about the prison system. The prison system has become an alternative resting place for free housing with cable, heath care, food, and infected SEX. The inmates who continues revolving around the same door-isn't scared of commiting a crime-SEE, who do you know steals from God without remorse. THE NC DOC SYSTEM ISN"T WORKING. The joke is on YOU North Carolina. I say arm yourselves. If the courts will not help, then darn it "you just have to do whatcha gotta."

I've said it before and I'll say it again, in my opinion, he should be made to serve his time in one of North Carolina's finest correctional institutions with out the luxury of air conditioning. Better yet, make him work on the road squad out in the steaming heat. Who cares how many merit days he gets for it, make the little piggy sweat. Squeal for me Jason, lol.

By the way, since we are now talking about taxes, Carlin said it best (paraphrasing here) about if the church wants to get involved with public affairs they should be taxed like everyone else.

If churches had to pay taxes on the billions they rake in every year from their followers then we probably wouldn't have to pay taxes at all. Churches have the right idea, maybe I should declare a church for myself. Anyway, maybe this guy prayed to God for money and God told him to come to his house and he could have some? God answers prayers according to the Bible, this was just an answered prayer and you all are trash talking this man of God. He was only doing what God told him he could do, borrow a little cash to help him out.

To Derek: What exactly does that have to do with this particular case? I'm missing the relevance.

He stole less than what the churches pay out every year to keep themselves out of court for child molestation.

I agree they need to be in jail, but branding someone and putting them in a set of stocks is ridiculous...but then again MR A, so is your post.

I agree with Mr T, however they need to take him out everyday and put him a set of Stocks in front of the churches he stole from and brand him in the forehead with a BIG "T" for thief.
