I agree with anonymous on July 20 @ 7:09. I can't understand why a 48 year old man is hanging around with a 22 year old man. They are not even on the same level. You would think the 48 year old would know better.I Guess not???????

To the one that posted saying that this was not gang related I give my apology, as that is what was told by the family members at the hospital, that there was two gangs fighting maybe you were not there, regardless, my comment speaks the truth about what is going on in Williamston. Again I wish your family the best in his recovery, and to the person that put this was a waste of EastCare's time maybe they won't have time for you if you ever need them, it would just be a waste right or even if this was your child, a waste of time, that is not how good nurse's look at these patients regardless of thier skin color.

Too the very first comment: You are very right, Martin County to include Williamston is getting worse. The only help we can offer is to push our LOCAL politicians to hire more law enforcement in specialized areas like, violent crime street units, gang units and so on. If we have a problem like Greenville, we must fight it like Greenville. To all that blog and agree, contact your local commissioners, mayors, etc. What else can we do?

Responded to paying for myself. I did go finish high school and went to college. But it means nothing in the society, because the white person will always get the better job even if they did not finish high school.

I was at the MGH when all this went down, how sad to watch mama and family members cry over their son, it is a shame that gangs act like this, you are just killing one another off and before long there will be none of you left if you keep it up I'm white, and you guys are better than this, you need to show others that regardless of your color your are as great as the next man, their families have issues just as yours they just keep it quite instead of speaking aloud as you do, I love living in Williamston and think as a community if we all pull together black and white and get these kids some help it will make it a better place for all of us to live and for our kids to be raised. My heart goes out to the mother and family of this young guy who needs some strength and guidance from everyone in the community. The gangs need to be controlled by parents and officers and teachers, and churches, and God will do the rest. I know the police are doing their job and he will be caught.

ssg, a 22 yr old should know better, much less a 48 yr old man. They don't because they were taught by their families and communities to be what they are. They believe what they were indoctrinated in as small children. They demand to be given things, by the government and by victims.

Good point "citizen", but that is not how these people think. They have a victim mentality and think the majority of society owes them a check every month. So they meander through life riding a check, bumming and stealing. And sometimes coming out on the short end of a confrontation with another vagrant. "CONCERN" of July 24, 11:14am, I can see that you are "CONFUSE!!!!!!", don't worry about it. Take a nap.
