Washington police are searching for clues in a Friday night shooting that sent one man to the hospital.

Police say the shooting happened just after 11:00 Friday night.
somewhere in the 600 block of Washington Street.

Twenty-one-year Cedric Ward was shot but did not have any life threatening injuries. Ward was taken to Beaufort Medical Center then ended up at PCMH.

Friday night, Washington Police investigated a shooting that occurred around 11:00 PM in the 600 block of Washington St. During th e investigation of the incident, officers identified the victim as Cedric Ward , 21, Mr. Ward was transported to the Beaufort County Medical Center and later transferred to Pitt Memorial Hospital with non life threatening injuries. No arrests have been made in this incident and anyone with information related to this incident can call the Washington Police Department (252-946-1444), or Crime Stoppers (252-974-6400). The investigation is continuing.
