NEW INFO: Man Shot While At Work

Police are still looking for a gunman who opened fire on a man pouring concrete Wednesday.

Nassar Mack was shot while working at the Craven Terrace housing complex on sidewalks around 4:30 p.m.

Police say the 28-year-old Mack was able to walk to a nearby apartment and call police.

The gunman is described as a black man, wearing a navy New York Yankees hat, white t-shirt and jeans.

A construction worker pouring concrete for a sidewalk is shot on the job.

It happened Wednesday afternoon at the Craven Terrace Apartments in New Bern at around 4:30.

New Bern police say that the victim was part of a construction crew doing work at the housing complex.

Officials have not released the victim's name, but say he is at Carolina East Medical Center and will likely recover.

Police are searching for the shooter.
