NC Couple Gets $30,000 SC Serial Killer Reward

Officials have decided a Dallas, N.C., couple will get a $30,000 reward for calling in the tip that led to a man who authorities say was a serial killer who shot to death five people in South Carolina.

Multiple media outlets reported Friday that while Crimestopper
rewards are anonymous, authorities had already identified Michael
and Terry Valentine as the tipsters who led them to Patrick Burris.

The Valentines say the credit goes to their new puppy, who barked and woke them up early Monday morning.

While letting the dog out, the couple saw an SUV matching the type of vehicle police were looking for pull up to a nearby home and called police.

Officers say they killed Burris after he pulled a gun and fired at them.

People will not come forward to report crimes because perhaps they do want their identities posted all over the news!! Sometimes will get back at you for "tattletelling". Sounds minor but is deadly serious. The people how gave the tip should NEVER EVER be mentioned!!! then crime would go down because people would give more tips.

I do not believe that this is the serial killer. He didn't look like the profile. I find it strange that once he was caught, the police and news media would no longer show his profile so citizens could compare the two picture. South Carolina is a tourist site. During the summer, how many people would deter plans if a serial killer was at large. The police can make crimes look anyway they want to. Where are the other people with this man? What is their connection? Serial killers are normally loners. They don't keep witnesses around unless the person is a part of his/her sickness. Show us the two pictures again.

Wish it was me! I hope that it is tax free, or greedy Uncle Sam will take half off the top.
