A Jacksonville man is behind bars, charged with breaking a babies arm, several ribs and causing the infant to bleed.

The Onslow County Sheriff's office charged 26 year-old Rashawn Cooper back in November with felony child abuse inflicting serious bodily injury, conspiracy and resisting a public officer.

Cooper turned himself in Tuesday night.

Warrants say Cooper is accused of breaking several of the childs ribs, the child's left arm and causing retinal bleeding.

Warrants say the child was in Cooper's care at the time. He is in jail under a $30,000 bond.
