Madoff Sentenced To 150 Years

Bernard Madoff has been sentenced to 150 years in prison for his multibillion-dollar fraud scheme.

U.S. District Judge Denny Chin handed down the sentenced in New York on Monday.

The 71-year-old former Nasdaq chairman was arrested late last year after confessing to his sons that his secretive investment advisory business was a "big lie."

He pleaded guilty to securities fraud and other charges in March and has been jailed since.

Bernie got the shaft by Judge Chang, Chong , Chung , or Chin. Whatever his name was. He just wanted to make an example out of Bernie. Bernie gets 150 years, and parents tie their child to a tree and let him die and only get 13 to 16 years. How messed up is the American judicial system? The reason Bernie got so long was that he played with RICH, INFLUENTIAL NEW YORKERS money that were probably buddies with Judge Chong, Chang, Chung , or whatever his name was.

Of course his wife knew about the scheme since she was his bookkeeper! She ought to be sitting in the cell right next to his! And, to Derek who wrote about the death penalty, that should have been on the table since his actions led to suicides!

The 2 million his wife gets to keep is dumb. You mean to tell me she is that stupid, she didn't know what was happening. Gimme a break , that money belongs to the defrauded investors. But yeah , he will be in a white collar prison with special treatment. Put him in a REAL prison, with real bad guys, like murders and rapists.

I am quite surprised that no one has called for the death penalty in this case. He stole billions from investors, and now he is going to reap the benefits of the hundred's of thousands of tax-payer dollars it will take to house him in prison. Just do away with him, save the tax-payers their money.

Somebody like that should be sentenced to death for such a crime. That is just as bad as murder in my opinion, because of the lives that he has ruined.
