2 In Custody After Fatal Shooting At Denny's

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- Police in New Mexico say two suspects are in custody on suspicion of murder after a takeover-style robbery at a packed Denny's Restaurant where a female employee was killed.

Police say the suspects have been booked into jail but did not immediately release their names.

The hunt is on for other suspects.

Witnesses say as many as four masked men armed with rifles and handguns rushed into the northwest Albuquerque Denny's restaurant yesterday morning and demanded money.

As many as 100 people reportedly were in the restaurant at the time.

One restaurant employee told police a manager was forced to open the cash register and the robbers took an undetermined amount of cash before fleeing.

Police were nearby and took one suspect into custody while another was arrested after a getaway car was followed to a nearby trailer park.
