Teenagers Accused Of Killing Halfway House Supervisor

Police in western New York say two teenage halfway house residents plotted to escape from the home and then bludgeoned to death a supervisor.

Lockport police Detective Capt. Richard Podgers says the teens attacked 24-year-old Renee Greco on Monday night as she played cards with other residents at the state-run Wyndham Lawn Home for Children. He says they threw a blanket over her head and hit her with objects taken from the basement.

The two teens from Rochester were caught early Tuesday after buying bus tickets in Buffalo. A third teen was taken into custody.

Eighteen-year-old Anthony Allen and 17-year-old Robert Thousand pleaded not guilty Tuesday at their arraignment on murder, robbery and burglary charges.
