I most definitly agree with Disgusted and Shopper Location. I live right across the street from Belk and I will GLADLY put money into driving to Greenville. You know, where there are employees in the store! I bet the guys just walked in and took the money and no one even noticed because NO ONE WORKS THERE!! HA!

Awesome job apprehending the criminals. I live in Pitt County and shop in Washington. Are you paying attention Pitt County Sheriff's Department? There is a reason Pitt County crime rate is so high.

TO: Shopper Location. GET OVER IT! They are entitled to have their opinion just as you have. Did you miss the post that said despite your approval, the Belks continues to be profitable? HELLO!!!! Who cares if you right the letter, or stop shopping? Furthermore, this is an anonymous message board...how exactly will you prove which employee was expressing their first amendment right? If you truly believe that you are no idiot, what is the need for all the fuss? People like you…...

To the Belk's Management: I will NOT be shopping there anymore thanks to your employees post by anonymous at 12:06pm as I am now "an idiot". I also plan to print this message board off and send it to the corporate office in Hendersonville. I am a business professional with two college degrees and I assure you I'm no idiot. The post is plainly an employee because at the end of the post it says "we". Very smart.

Anonymous-n-Wash.: I'm guessing it wouldn't B 2 hard for anyone U that work in BELKS to "spot the bad people". I have found in my shopping experience in your store thay most of the employees walk around like they are God's gift to the retail market and that if U happen to B in town and just run in there to look around, not, "dressed for the occasion" of such a worthy store, one may easily B mistaken for "one of the BAD people". I don't shop there because U get get any help & the employees R snooty !

I guess I'll be the first to say it...thank you Washington PD! These guys are always professional and do an outstanding job! Your work does not go unappreciated. There is a reason Washington's crime rate is much lower than surrounding areas.

To the person that asked if i really think they were stealing for the family. what I said was people are going to be doing a lot of stealing for the family. The two guys may have been flat out stealing just because.I am not defended them at all. However our system is set up so they can keep stealing from us the ones that have a sheet as long as you can see.

How did a story about an armmed robbery turn into a commentary of where and where not to shop? This is the problem with todays society no one takes the real issues seriously. And since no one apperantly shops at the store in Washington it amazes me as to how its been in business for so long and continues to show a profit. If you are going to comment on a story make it relavant. Comment on the rise of crime in Eastern NC, the socio- economic reasons for these actions, or the great work of the police. Not a story about a robbery and commentingon your shopping habits.

Wow...this is crazy. I work in that strip mall and no one has even informed us that anything like that happened. I understand these two got caught but still. Shouldn't the people in charge of the mall and the police be letting us know about whats happening in our surroundings. Glad to hear that everyone is ok though and these creeps were caught...people now days are insane. I understand its hard to find a good job but trust me there are some out there. McDonalds, WalMart, Burger King etc. might not be exactly what you want but if you need money you'll be more than happy to work there...atleast I know I would.
