There is yet another delay for a woman accused in the 2005 killing of 9-year-old Christopher Foggs.
Vonzeil Adams' trial was supposed to begin Monday at the Pitt County Courthouse. But it's been continued after Adams' attorney, Davis Sutton, was charged with contempt of court. Court officials said the contempt charge happened after Sutton was arguing with the judge.
The March trial for the 28-year-old Adams ended in a mistrial after jurors could not reach a unanimous verdict. Adams is charged with murder, thirteen counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and three counts of discharging a weapon into an occupied dwelling for the death of the little boy.
A new court date of July 27th has been set.
Jaoul Raoul Green was sentenced for the fatal shooting in 2006. Four other women face charges in the death of Foggs but have not gone to trial yet.
