Ten people were injured when a 15-passenger van ran off Interstate 95 in North Carolina, hit a ditch and overturned.
The state Highway Patrol said the accident occurred about 7:30 a.m. in Fayetteville when the van, heading from Florida to New Jersey, ran off the northbound lane to the left and crossed back to the right before hitting the ditch.
A state trooper identified the driver as 23-year-old Donato Flores of Homestead, Fla. Investigators think Flores may have fallen asleep at the wheel.
Nine people were taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. Nursing supervisor Jenny VanRavestein said three of the passengers were admitted to the hospital. The condition of the 10Th person was not available Sunday afternoon.
