Beaufort County Men Indicted In Virginia Murder

Two Beaufort County men have been charged in Virginia with murder, four months after police say they fired on officers during a chase.

WITN News has learned that Rockne Butler of Pantego and Dennis Blount of Washington have been indicted for the January 23rd shooting death of Brad Harris in Franklin. Harris was shot once in the torso while inside his Franklin home.

Originally the two men were charged with firing on police during a chase near the homicide scene. At the time police said they were investigating whether Butler and Blount were connected to the homicide.

The two were indicted on first degree murder, abduction, attempted burglary, uses of a firearm in the commission of murder, maliciously discharge a firearm into an occupied dwelling resulting in death, use of a firearm in an abduction, and use of a firearm in the commisison of a burglary.

Previously the Beaufort County men were charged with attempted capital murder of a law enforcement officer, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a violent convicted felon, felony eluding police and provide false identity to police.

    These two guys are done. Get ready to find out about them receiving a potential life sentence. They really messed up big time.
