POLICE: Robbers Target Couples Walking; Two Charged

Police say a pair of robbers were targeting couples walking Monday night, and now the two men are in jail.

The first robbery happened on East Virginia Street when a couple told police a green Chevy SUV pulled up and told them to "give it up". The two men got away with their money and wallets.

Minutes later police say another couple was robbed on Melton Street by the same pair in the SUV. This time they got $13 and three pairs of earrings.

Police spotted the suspected vehicle and charged Anthony Henricks and Rodrice Henricks with two counts of armed robbery.

Both are in the Nash County jail with a first court appearance Tuesday.

Concerned Citizen, I would like to think that I was well aware of my surroundings at all times. I do find myself very aware of where I park, how many people are around, and I stick to walking in my own neighborhood, armed to the teeth. I'd just like for everyone else who isn't carrying a concealed permit to please be careful and be aware of your surroundings and the people in it.

Careful what you wish for MadMax as a fellow carrier of an concealed equalizer don't forget that maintaining situational awareness is key even for those that do not carry. It is too late to try and draw(in most cases) once the badguy has already rolled up on you. Which is why its so important to be aware of what is going on around you so that you can prepare yourself by putting your hand on it. In most cases the bad guys search for those who they deem to be easy targets who are not paying attention to whats going on around them. This is how they avoid the sheep dogs like myself and others who carry because they specifically hunt for those that appear to be sheep.

this is just another couple of thugs that the judges and lawyers will make a living off of by giving them some light jail time if any. They are more than likely already back out on the street stealing again.
