Car Hits Jacksonville Home After Police Chase

We now know the identity of the man who led officers on a police chase in Jacksonville last night and then crashed into a home.

Authorities say Stanley Grayson blew a stop light at Dewitt St and Gum Branch Road and sped off towards US 17. An officer tried to stop Grayson but he drove away and then crashed his car into a garage on Hargett Street and fled on foot.

Grayson was arrested shortly after and treated at Onslow Memorial Hospital for minor injuries during the crash.

During the investigation police also found marijuana in his possession.

Fortunately the home he crashed into is vacant but its developer Oliver Hill tells WITN the crash caused significant damage to the home's garage. He estimates it will cost about $30,000 to repair.

Another idiot driver!! So this house is vacant and belongs to a developer, hmmmm, $30,000.00 sounds like a lot to repair a garage. Is this developer seeing dollar signs?
