Former Rocky Mount Cop Indicted For Evidence Tampering

A former Rocky Mount cop has been indicted for altering, destroying or stealing criminal evidence.

Korrin Lofton was fired back in December and he turned himself in Monday.

Police will not say what evidence Lofton is accused tampering with. They will only say that they received allegations of police misconduct in November and that led to an internal investigation. A news release says that investigation showed no evidence of other employees being involved.

The 28-year-old Lofton was a police officer in Rocky Mount for three years. He was released on a $10,000 bond.

Another case of a corrupt Black official, and in the same county that the Naacp wants a Black DA to be appointed. Beverly Perdue, don't listen to those clowns, especially ringmaster Barber.

Im Happy that this person was caught but who can be contacted about other cops in other counties because this is happening more than you think? Here in Washington NC you cant even get a lawyer from Pitt County to help you because they say that the police officers are doing so much wrong and have judges back them. Sad but so True.

OMG!! He was the Resource Officer at our school, Nash Central. All we knew back in Nov. was that he didn't show up for work one day and we were told he was no longer with the RM police dept. Wow!
