Roanoke Rapids Man Accused Of Shooting Girlfriend In The Face

A Roanoke Rapids man is now behind bars on attempted murder charges.

30 Year old Antonio Garrett has been arrested. Authorities say back in may Garrett allegedly got into a fight with his girlfriend, during the argument he pulled out a gun and shot her in the face. Garrett then drove the victim to the hospital and told deputies she was shot during a drive by shooting.

The Halifax County Sheriff's Office tells us the victim had been abused by Garrett before.

Garrett was placed in the Halifax County Jail Under A $250,000.00 bond and his first court date is set for May 6, 2009.

    Please WITN...!!I doubt very seriously Mr. Garret pulled a "gut" as reported, and I can't help but believe Mr. Garrett would know the name of the months has a capital letter. shish!!!
