Police Say Woman Tried To Run Over Two People

A woman is facing hit and run, along with assault with a deadly weapon charges after police say she tried to hit two people with her car, succeeding the second time.

Rocky Mount police say it happened Monday afternoon on Hargrove Street. That's where they say Chevez Manning first tried to hit Alton Winstead with her car.

After missing Winstead, police say she began striking Monica Arrington's car. Arrington was eventually pinned between the two vehicles.

Police gave no motive in the attacks.
