Vandalism is suspected after an early Friday morning fire at local country club destroyed over 40 golf carts and the shed where they are housed.
Police and fire officials responded to the Jacksonville Country Club around 4:00 a.m. and noticed the shed up in flames.
Officials say the fire caused more than $300,000 worth of damage, but the country club manager says they are insured. Officials say vandalism and graffiti was also found spray-painted on the greens.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by Jacksonville police and the SBI.
