Police say three men were "caught in the act" after a home invasion late Saturday night in Morehead City.
Police say a neighbor heard someone outside his unit at Blue Point Bay Apartments trying to gain access to a second floor patio. While on the phone with 911, the resident of that apartment came home and the neighbor was able to get her attention.
Officers quickly arrived and spotted one burglar leaving the apartment and two more inside. They found a semi-automatic pistol and a knife, along with a number of black colored clothing, including toboggans, skullcap, and a hoodie with eyeholes cut out.
Charged with second degree burglary, felony larceny, injury to real property, possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of burglary tools, and resist, obstruct and delay a police officer are Issac Oliver and Kareen Elliot, both of Havelock.
Anthony Morris, also of Havelock, is charged with second degree burglary, felony larceny, injury to real property, possession of burglary tools, and resist, obstruct and delay a police officer.
All three men are in the Carteret County jail.
