POLICE: Burglar Caught Red-Handed

Police in one Eastern Carolina city say they caught a burglar red-handed early Sunday morning.

Dennis Powell is charged with felony breaking, entering and larceny after Goldsboro police say they found him inside the Trade Wilco Hess station on Ash Street.

Officers say they found Powell trying to leave the building when they responding to a business alarm and discovered a window broken.

Powell is in the Wayne County jail and police say they recovered $2,092.81 in merchandise.
