An autopsy report has revealed that a North Carolina teenager found dead in a vacant home last year had a plastic bag around his head and duct tape over his mouth.
The state medical examiner released a report Tuesday that said 18-year-old Matthew Silliman died of asphyxiation and suffered blunt force injuries to his head. The report also states that Silliman's wrists and ankles were bound.
Silliman was found Dec. 3 in a sleeping bag in a Wake County mobile home owned by the parents of one of the suspects in his death.
Four teenagers who at the time were listed as Silliman's friends on his online Facebook and MySpace pages have been charged with murder. Aadil Shaaid Kahn, Allegra Rose Dahlquist, Drew Logan Shaw and Ryan Patrick Hare could face life in prison if convicted.
