POLICE: Infant Remains Found In Home Of Woman Accused Of Trying To Kill Another Newborn

Authorities investigating a woman accused of trying to kill her newborn baby say they have found the remains of another infant in her home.

Police believe the remains had been at Elyse Mamino's home in Belleville, Illinois, near St. Louis, for more than a year.

No charges have been filed in the new development.

Authorities say Mamino gave birth at a house party in November and tried to drown her baby in a toilet.

Emergency responders and a bystander were able to revive the baby girl after someone called authorities. Police say it's not clear if she suffered brain damage.

Mamino was arrested last week and charged with attempted murder. Relatives are caring for the surviving child.

Apparently WITN didn't like my response ALPHA female. I'll keep this one short and sweet then. I feel as if my way of typing is "my style" and your is "stupid"! That being said I understand where you are coming form as far as saying this is a free country and why should one not have the choice of abortion. Well first of you did. YOU made the child, no one else. Secondly, I would, in all honesty, like to know from another's perspective what the difference between what you're claiming and what Obama is attempting to do? The issue with me is the fact of reprimanding a doctor or nurse for not partaking in an abortion due to morals or their conscious. That is no different in MY book than outlawing abortion. Either way someone feels as if they have been shafted.

ALPHA female: I beg to differ considering the fact that I can admit tht I made mistakes in my typing. You can't seem to think that any of your posts are wrong in ANY way. This is called denial. So that being said "the way I type is MY style"....yours is STUPID! Opinions are just that...opinions. Regardless of the fact of who types right or wrong my issue is similar to yours. WE live in a FREE country. So why should it be right for the government to instill a law that would cause those doctors and nurses who don't believe in abortion to be reprimanded and, to a certain degree, punished. What makes that any different than outlawing abortion in general? I would honestly like to know the answer to this from anothers prospective becasue I just don't see any difference.

ALPHA female: I don't care if the person is republican, democrat, or freaking non-american. It doesn't excuse the fact of taking a helpless life. Are the people making the babies not accountable for their actions? YES! That baing said they should be responsible enough to have it. Since you chose old sayings for this here's another. "If you can't walk the walk then don't talk the talk". Translation: if you can't be responsible enough to take care of your doings then don do them!

Thank You Kristen... just because we have the right doesn't mean every woman in the US will go kill a baby. But it's our body, and our right. ...Why is it, that we live in a free nation... yet people want to enact a law to tell you and I what we can do with our bodies. ...I don't own my neighbor's body, I can't go to the grocery story and tell the male manager that I own his sex organ and he can't mate with "Tonya". ..Men wouldn't have it. Do you notice when people complain about welfare.. they always say, "I hate taking care of welfare mommas." .. What about those daddy's. A woman can carry one maybe two babies in 9 months, how many babies can a man make in 9 months? ...Yet we can't tell him what to do with his body. It's a woman's right to choose... if you're against abortions... then don't have one! Bush is a republican and abortions were legal on his watch!

Blake S. I'm assuming you were trying to chastise me, and say I don't know how to spell? these are your wonderfully spelled words..."Karma"> ome? speel? chosse? mojority? theirselves? ...It gets better... followed by "How to type a proper sentence". LOL .. like these >Obama could surely do more than what he is about it though <.. or >loaning money to all these companies that have sunk theirselves to the level they are at now.< you don't need the preposition "AT". I guess you need to learn to type a proper sentence as well. The way I type ...is my style... the way you type... is stupid! Your turn....
