UPDATED: Arthur Little Convicted Of First Degree Murder

After just three minutes of deliberations Friday, jurors convicted Arthur Little of first degree murder.

That conviction's in connection to the death of Anthony Jones outside a US Cellular store back in 2006.

The New Bern man has admitted to shooting Jones but says he did it because he feared for his life.

Jurors have been sent home after their second day of deliberating a verdict in the murder trial of Arthur Little.

The jury got the trial Wednesday before 3 PM.

The New Bern man is accused of shooting and killing another outside a cellular phone store back in 2006.

Arthur Little faces first degree murder charges.

Little's admitted to shooting Anthony Jones but said he did it because he feared for his life.

The jury is now deciding whether it was first or second degree murder.

Jurors started deliberating around 2:40 p.m Wednesday and called it a day around 5:00 p.m. Deliberations in the trial will resume Thursday morning.

Arthur Little is facing a possible first degree murder conviction. Little took the stand in his defense Tuesday in the murder trial against him.

    Finally, justice was served in the Craven County Court Room. Jurors must be able to reach a verdict based on evidence, not the color and not their color, as has been the cases recently. I just wonder why did it take over two days for the verdict? If the testomony in the court room was as straight forward as written accounts, it should have taken about 10 minutes to convict this criminal of first degree murder.

    bull, i don't believe him, he did'nt fear for his life. he just wanted to kill that boy. now he must pay.
