Man Sentenced In Child Porn Ring

An eastern Carolina man is headed to prison for 60-years for his role in a child pornography ring that involved distributing sexually explicit pictures of young children, including infants.

Daniel Carl Sherwin, 30 years-old of Elizabeth City, is a registered sex offender. An FBI investigation lead to Sherwin after people complained of pornographic pictures of kids on the website "flickr".

Sherwin plead guilty to two counts of manufacturing child porn.

During the investigation authorities discovered evidence that Sherwin had taken sexually explicit photographs of two infant children.

Excuse me but it also says in the bible that we are going to judge the holy angels. We are to hold people accountable for their actions and this man better be glad he does not live in a foreign country because he would get np trial, they would just kill him probably in a very brutal fashion too! i say he will reap what he has sown if he does not ask for forgiveness.

A lot of times child molesters and rapist don't want the other inmates to know why they are in. You mess over children and you have a bulls eye on your back. I think that not only should a prisoners number be on his jumper but it should be a different color. Pink means you molested a child. black means you killed someone. pink with black strips... you molested and killed a child. I could figure it out for them. I like that idea!

This from the Elizabeth City paper in July. A man convicted of sexual exploitation of a minor in Utah has been charged with 11 child sex offenses in Pasquotank County. Daniel Carl Sherwin, 29, of the 1000 block of Four Forks Road, Elizabeth City, was charged last month by the State Bureau of Investigation with two counts of first-degree child rape, three counts of first degree sex offense on a child and six counts of first-degree sexual exploitation of a minor. According to arrest warrants, Sherwin is charged with taking photos of two young children engaged in sexual acts, raping one of them and committing sexual offenses with both of them.

Please tell me someone did not just defend this monster. What he did was beyond nasty. This is way beyond hurting and having issues. Puhlease. We have all had hurting and issues in life. I'll agree that putting him away for 60 years is not the answer, but I don't think they'd allow my post if I state my opinion of an answer. Note he is already a registered sex offender, so obviously he hasn't learned any lessons from past "mistakes". And please note it said he "manufactured", not just looked. I get so frustrated at Christians who want to tolerate anything in the name of Christianity. Doesn't God call us to hold each other accountable, not to tolerate anything and everything. I am not judging him. He pled guilty. You obviously have never been a victim of anything like this and you should be thankful. We need to actively take measures to protect our children, not sit back and hope he will look for guidance for God. These people cannot be rehabilitated.

Actually we elect Judges to do just that; judge. It is not against the Bible. The 7th book of the Bible is the book of Judges. It's about just that. Judge not is being taken out of context. We as individuals should not judge, but that does not exempt those who do wrong from receiving civil/criminal judgement from those who have been elected to do so. Render to Caesar what is Caesar's and unto God what is God's. Yes, Mary we should pray for and believe for this man to receive help. But, he may just have to pay Caesar.
