Police say they might have nabbed a serial car robber.
Greenville police say they stopped a vehicle Saturday afternoon in the parking lot of the Greenville Mall off Greenville Boulevard because it matched the description of a vehicle just stolen from a public parking lot in Kinston.
The Kinston police had broadcast the vehicle description and information.
Police say they arrested and interviewed the man and woman inside the vehicle, and police have now charged the male suspect with numerous car thefts in Greenville and surrounding areas.
Jasper Antonio Williams, age 36 of Freedom Drive in Kinston, was charged with four counts of larceny of motor vehicle and two counts of possession of stolen motor vehicle.
Evetta Angela Brock, age 43 of the same address as Williams, was charged with one count of possession of stolen motor vehicle. (Picture below.)
Williams was locked up on a $200,000 bond, while Brock’s bond was set at $1,000. Police say additional charges are pending.
